About Us

Our Captain & Vessel

At Island Quest Marine , the ocean isn’t just where we work—it’s where our story began.

Our captain, Jared Borthwick, is a proud third-generation lobster fisherman who has spent countless hours on the water, learning the rhythms of the Bay, understanding the tides, and gaining a deep respect for the sea. From working alongside his family on salmon cages to navigating these waters throughout his life, his knowledge and passion for the marine environment have been shaped by generations of experience.

Joining him is his partner Siobhan McKenna, whose love for people is matched only by her love for the ocean. She enjoys building genuine relationships with guests, sharing local stories, and creating memorable experiences for everyone who steps aboard. Together, they are united by a lifelong connection to the saltwater and a desire to share its beauty with visitors from near and far.

Whether you’re joining us for wildlife viewing, coastal sightseeing, or simply to experience the magic of life on the water, we are excited to welcome you aboard and share a piece of our maritime heritage with you.

Come experience the beauty, adventure, and traditions of the Bay with us at Island Quest Marine — where every journey is guided by experience, passion, and a deep love for the sea.
